Correction Policy

At The Real Khabar, our commitment is to deliver accurate, complete, and transparent news reporting to our audience. We understand the importance of addressing errors promptly and responsibly, ensuring our readers remain informed with trustworthy information. Below are the guiding principles of our correction and clarification practices:

Addressing Errors

We aim to respond swiftly when inaccuracies are identified in our published content. Whether through corrections, clarifications, or editor’s notes shared across our digital platforms and social media, our goal is to provide a clear explanation of what was incorrect and how it has been rectified.

Updating Published Content

When articles are updated, we include a note within the story to inform readers of the changes made. This includes:

  • Corrections: Substantive errors in articles, headlines, photos, captions, or other materials are corrected promptly. A correction note explains the specific error and the amendment.
  • Clarifications: When the facts are correct but the explanation lacks clarity or completeness, the language is revised, and a clarification note is added. This may also include updates when additional perspectives or stakeholder comments are incorporated into the article.

Editor’s Notes

In cases where a significant error affects the substance of a story or raises ethical concerns, an Editor’s Note is added to the content. Such decisions are reviewed and approved by a senior editor to ensure accountability and transparency.

Take-Down Requests

The Real Khabar does not honor take-down requests as a matter of editorial policy. However, if a story is claimed to be inaccurate, we investigate thoroughly and, where necessary, issue a correction contact contact@therealkhabar.in. We also review publicly available personal data included in our reports only if a subject is at risk of physical harm due to the published material.

Ensuring Fairness

When fairness requires updates or follow-ups to prior coverage, we are committed to taking appropriate action. However, we do not remove stories unless legally required or under extraordinary circumstances, as it is against our principles to erase published material retroactively.
